Jacksonville Women Pleads Not Guilty to DUI Manslaughter
Remember Luma Kajy’s tragic ending? Well the women who caused that wreck on the Buchman Bridge has entered a not guilty plea to DUI manslaughter.
We will see hot that goes for her. As a DUI law junkie I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she was freed from the manslaughter charge. Obviously I haven’t seen everything, but I don’t see irrefutable evidence that she indeed caused or contributed to the cause of the accident. The defendant remains in jail on $1 million bond. She’s expected in court again on April 15.
A group of local musicians are holding a concert in memory of Luma Kajy. It will be held 4-18-10 at Jack Rabbits on Hendricks Avenue. Doors will open at 1 p.m. All proceeds will go to Kajy’s family.I want to send my condolences to the family of Luma Kajy and just say that losing a loved one is always rough, but from a more optimistic look it can make you stronger. RIP Luma Kajy. You are missed.
